Savannah, Georgia

December 27, 2009
John and I decided to take a road trip with Alx & Gabby to spend Christmas and New Years in Florida. Along the way, we decided to stop and spend a few days in pretty Savannah.

December 28, 2009
We decided to do a Haunted House Tour which was informative and fun they picked us up from the hotel in a hearse which added to the spookiness of it at nighttime.

December 29, 2009
Today we toured the city on a horse-drawn carriage which was also very informative and pleasant. Since we were leaving in the morning, we decided to take it easy and have dinner close to the hotel.

Keystone, Colorado

February 14, 2010
This ski trip was different, but in a good way we were going with our daughter Alex. We arrived in Keystone, Colorado and drove to our hotel by the time we got there it was late, so we just got settled in and went to have a quick dinner and get ready to ski in the morning.

February 15, 2010
John is an expert skier, and Alex is outstanding also, she’s been skiing since she was five, so she’s had 11 years of practice. I have only been skiing for five years. I decided to take a lesson which is good because trying to teach yourself isn’t good you end up learning bad habits that are extremely hard to break. After skiing we had dinner, and the usual get ready for skiing the next day.

February 16, 2010
Today we decided to drive to Vail, Colorado.  Instead of skiing, I made an appointment at a spa for a massage (Now that’s my kind of skiing shhh don’t tell John.) Either way, it was good John had a chance to bond with Alex. They only skied half the day so that we had an opportunity to explore vail and we were lucky enough to see a Mardi Gras parade which was fun and colorful.

February 17, 2010
Today we stayed in Keystone I skied my usual until lunch and John and Alex skied the whole day since today was the last day. After skiing, we ate dinner and then went back to the hotel to pack and got ready to fly home tomorrow.

Williamsburg, Virginia

May 12, 2015

Today we drove to visit our friends Howard and Ronnie who live in Williamsburg, Virginia. We loved the community they live in the houses were all colonial style. We drove into town and saw the coolest thing, they re-enacted life in the 18th century. All the people who work in the stores and work in the town are dressed, speak and use tools from that period.

It is something we enjoyed. We’ve learned about it in school and have seen pictures in books but to go back in time for a few hours was something to see. John and I even said to each other that if we hadn’t moved to Florida, we would have considered moving into their development.

Key West, Florida

October 22nd – 26th, 2014

We were invited to our friend Nano Lopez’s art show at the James Coleman Gallery in Key West. When we booked the hotel, we booked it in advance, and the receptionist had told us we got the last room. John and I thought that was odd and asked the person if there was some convention going on and she said no it’s Fantasy Fest which happens every year.

As the days went on, we started noticing people dressed in risqué clothing and then our friends told us that this weekend at Fantasy Fest you make your fantasy come true whatever it may be. This was the best people watching EVER!!!!

We had a blast with our friends and three new artists we met. Not to name drop (but I will lol) if you know any of them they were all pretty cool and it was an honor to get a chance to hang out with such talented people. James & Lori Coleman, Bill Mack and his wife and Anna Sweet’s mom Connie Sweet.

Red Rocks, Utah

August 26th – 29th, 2013

Today we visited Cedar Breaks National Monument and Brian Head Peak. We’ve been all over the world, and I have to say that the United States is the most beautiful place and unique. I find it amazing how so many people leave for other places when they haven’t even seen most of the US.  We have so many different landscapes so many things to see and do if you couldn’t afford to leave the US you have many options.

While exploring the red rocks, we stayed at the St. George Inn and fell in love with it, so we decided to cancel our reservations at all the other hotels and stayed there longer.

We also took a helicopter ride over the red rocks which was terrific. The helicopter didn’t have any doors, so it made the journey more adventurous.

Grand Canyon West Rim, Arizona

September 29th – October 1st, 2010

Today we drove from Sedona to the Grand Canyon West Rim the next morning we had to wake up at 5 am, and besides it being early in the morning it was frigid.

The next morning we met at the visitor center, and a bus picked us up to take us to the airport we flew on a plane and got a bird’s eye view of the Grand Canyon. The second part of the tour today was on a raft around horseshoe bend, so we got to see how big these rock walls are from down below. The third part was a visit to the breathtaking Antelope Canyon. All three were terrific and made our trip excellent.

Antelope Canyon

Sedona, Arizona

September 27th – 29th, 2010

We drove from Scottsdale to Sedona where we checked into the Enchantment Resort. When we checked in and got our villa, they had the bed decorated with rose petals that said Love it was so pretty. We decided that since this place so private and remote, we would take it easy and enjoy the views and the peacefulness. Supposedly Sedona has several vortex sites but we didn’t experience anything out of the ordinary.

Check out our visit to see Jerome while we were staying in Sedona.

Scottsdale, Arizona

September 25th – 27th, 2010

We decided to spend our Honeymoon traveling in Arizona so we flew from NY to Phoenix, and it was 110 degrees at which was insane. We rented a car and drove to Four seasons in Scottsdale. The room had an electric fireplace that made the place look nice and cozy. John had a unique idea and planned a hot air balloon ride which was a wonderful surprise neither of us had ever been on one, so it was nice to share it on our special trip as husband and wife. One crazy thing is how we landed the balloon ended up slowly coming down to a crash landing the pilot told us all to get closer towards the side in which we were heading, and nobody got hurt which was great.

Lynchburg, Tennessee

May 25, 2017

Today on our way to Asheville, North Carolina we passed through Lynchburg, Tennessee and visited the Jack Daniels Distillery. It was a great tour I was trying to find something online with some facts on the 150-year-old Whiskey.

This is what I found Jack Daniels. Hope you enjoy my pics.
