Today we drove to Our Lady of Jagua which is a fortress that was built in the 18th century. After a brief visit to the fortress, we saw local performers. Please scroll down below to see some of the videos from the performance.
After the performance, we stopped at a local restaurant and had a quick bite to eat. The food was delicious!
Today we arrived at the Port of Havana. The first thing John and I both noticed was how dirty the water was. It was full of oil it looked like black mud. The first thing we drove by was the American Embassy with all the famous flagpoles in front of it. There were no flags blocking it, but the poles were all there. We then drove about 3 hours to the Vinales Valley and visited the home of a cigar farmer and got a cache to see him roll a cigar which was pretty cool. The next stop was the Mural de la Prehistoria and took a few pics of the big mural.
The coolest part of being in Havana was the World Famous Tropicana show. If you are planning on going to Cuba make sure you purchase the tickets ahead of time.
Our hotel was Konsulat in Reykjavik. The hotel was newly renovated, and it was lovely. We met our friends Avin & Lindsy who are from Indiana but live in Florida now. They stayed there three years ago for one month, so it was nice being there with them because they knew all the hot spots. The names of the towns and restaurants are very long and complicated, so I will do my best to give as many details in the photos as possible. One thing that you will find in Iceland is that there are no shortages of waterfalls. The weather seems to be dodgy you will have 50/50 chance of rain or shine. The one thing I didn’t like was how cold it was while we were there it was their summer. Our first stop which is a MUST is a visit to the Blue Lagoon. It was a great experience.
This is a car we saw driving in Florida October 2017 it had statues glued all over it.
Do you think this car that we saw in Florida has enough bumper stickers?
This car looks like a tree fell on it and if it rained water would soak the back seat
We saw this custom made truck in Ft. Pierce Florida with a couch on top and a hammock and if you look closely the owner of the vehicle is laying in the hammock.
We saw this interesting Bus in Florida with a great message. Onemillionactsofkindness.com please take a moment and check out their website.
The Big Duck is a building in the shape of a duck located in Flanders, NY, on Long Island. It was originally built in 1931 by duck farmer Martin Maurer in nearby Riverhead and used as a shop to sell ducks and duck eggs.
Today we drove from Utah to Wyoming. We love skiing in Jackson Hole the only thing that we don’t like is how dodgy the weather is. In January the temperature can drop to the single digits other than that we enjoy the town and the mountain.
Other than the drive is beautiful!
If you scroll down below I have posted videos of Dog Sled Racing. It was the first time John and I both got a chance to see it.
Today we drove from Alta, Utah to Ogden, Utah. The town is really cute, and we were lucky enough to find a Ruroc helmet store, and we purchased the coolest helmets. We skied at Snowbasin one day, and I loved it!!
We love skiing at the Canyons and Deer Valley, and we always start our annual ski trip in Utah. This year we decided to go to Deer Valley after skiing to watch the Aerial competitions. We had a great time we were lucky enough to meet a young guy named Graham who was # 3 in the world! Enjoy the pictures and videos below.
