Today we flew into Portland, Oregon to take the scenic drive to Walla Walla, Washington to visit friends of ours. The ride was pretty the different landscapes were amazing and picturesque. It took us three hours to get to Walla Walla which wasn’t too bad.

Today we checked out of our hotel in Walla Walla and headed back to Portland. We had some time to spare, so we decided to check out the Booneville Lock & Dam which was cool. After that, we decided to check out the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area which had a fantastic waterfall.

Montauk – The End of Long Island
Montauk is my absolute favorite place to visit. I can’t explain it but I just feel so great whenever we are there. Most people hear about the Hamptons but this is my go-to place. Unfortunately, it has become a popular vacation spot and it’s much busier.

Jones Beach Air Show – May 28, 2011
Every year on memorial day weekend there is an air show at Jones Beach. John and I have both been to several air shows. We both love them and they are very entertaining.

John and I own a Disney World timeshare and believe me we get good use out of it especially now that we live in Florida we are season pass holders. We try and visit two-three times a year. We love hanging out at Epcot and going around the world trying all the different restaurants which are top notch. If you are interested in any recommendations since we are semi-pros, please message me, and I will be glad to help you out.
The pictures on this blog are not in any specific order. I hope you enjoy them

John and I go skiing out west every year, and one of our favorite places to visit is the Snowbird Ski Resort which is located in Alta about an hour outside of Salt Lake City. John has also taken Alex on a few ski trips. The pictures below were taken during these dates.

January 17th – 23rd, 2016
Today we drove from Park City to Snowbird, Alta (Utah) and John skied pretty much every day, and I skied four days which is a lot for me usually I only ski three days. One of the nights our friend Dustin drove up from Salt Lake City and had dinner with us.

Today we saw the last night time shuttle and, it was the first time John and I saw a shuttle take off. It was spectacular to see how the sky lit up once the shuttle started to take off.

Today we drove to Cocoa Beach, Florida to see an air show. This air show turned out to be the absolute best one we have ever been to. We had VIP tickets, and we met the pilots of The Osprey and the pilot of The Raptor.

John and I decided to take a road trip with Alx & Gabby to spend Christmas and New Years in Florida. Along the way, we decided to stop and spend a few days in pretty Savannah.
December 28, 2009
We decided to do a Haunted House Tour which was informative and fun they picked us up from the hotel in a hearse which added to the spookiness of it at nighttime.
December 29, 2009
Today we toured the city on a horse-drawn carriage which was also very informative and pleasant. Since we were leaving in the morning, we decided to take it easy and have dinner close to the hotel.
February 14, 2010
This ski trip was different, but in a good way we were going with our daughter Alex. We arrived in Keystone, Colorado and drove to our hotel by the time we got there it was late, so we just got settled in and went to have a quick dinner and get ready to ski in the morning.

John is an expert skier, and Alex is outstanding also, she’s been skiing since she was five, so she’s had 11 years of practice. I have only been skiing for five years. I decided to take a lesson which is good because trying to teach yourself isn’t good you end up learning bad habits that are extremely hard to break. After skiing we had dinner, and the usual get ready for skiing the next day.
February 16, 2010
Today we decided to drive to Vail, Colorado. Instead of skiing, I made an appointment at a spa for a massage (Now that’s my kind of skiing shhh don’t tell John.) Either way, it was good John had a chance to bond with Alex. They only skied half the day so that we had an opportunity to explore vail and we were lucky enough to see a Mardi Gras parade which was fun and colorful.
February 17, 2010
Today we stayed in Keystone I skied my usual until lunch and John and Alex skied the whole day since today was the last day. After skiing, we ate dinner and then went back to the hotel to pack and got ready to fly home tomorrow.
Today we drove to visit our friends Howard and Ronnie who live in Williamsburg, Virginia. We loved the community they live in the houses were all colonial style. We drove into town and saw the coolest thing, they re-enacted life in the 18th century. All the people who work in the stores and work in the town are dressed, speak and use tools from that period.
It is something we enjoyed. We’ve learned about it in school and have seen pictures in books but to go back in time for a few hours was something to see. John and I even said to each other that if we hadn’t moved to Florida, we would have considered moving into their development.
We were invited to our friend Nano Lopez’s art show at the James Coleman Gallery in Key West. When we booked the hotel, we booked it in advance, and the receptionist had told us we got the last room. John and I thought that was odd and asked the person if there was some convention going on and she said no it’s Fantasy Fest which happens every year.
We had a blast with our friends and three new artists we met. Not to name drop (but I will lol) if you know any of them they were all pretty cool and it was an honor to get a chance to hang out with such talented people. James & Lori Coleman, Bill Mack and his wife and Anna Sweet’s mom Connie Sweet.
